Pursuant to the cited authority (all references to the Government Code), the City Council will hold a Closed Session to discuss the following items:

7.      PUBLIC COMMENT – BRIEF – NON-AGENDA ITEMS

 

This portion of the meeting is reserved for persons wishing to address the Council on any matter not on the Agenda that is within the subject matter jurisdiction of the City Council. State law prohibits the Council from acting on items not listed on the Agenda except by special action of the City Council under specified circumstances.   The Mayor reserves the right to limit the speaker’s time to three minutes.  The Mayor will recognize you and when you come to the microphone, please state your name for the record.  You are not allowed to make personal attacks on individuals or make comments which are slanderous or which may invade an individual’s personal privacy.

8.      CONSENT CALENDAR

 

8.1    Approval of Addendum to Memorandum of Understanding/General Services Unit (Mr. Driscoll/Mr. Warren)

         

                   Resolution No. ________

 

Recommendation by the City Manager/Attorney and the Director of Finance that the City Council adopt a resolution approving an Addendum to the current Memorandum of Understanding between the City and the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 39, representing the General Services Unit, and authorize the Mayor and City manager to execute the Addendum on Behalf of the City of Placerville.

 

8.2           Approval of a Resolution Authorizing Staff to Initiate the

Process of Applying for Available Funding Under the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act (ARRA) of 2009 (Mr. Driscoll)

Recommendation by the City Manager/Attorney that the City Council adopt a resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute any and all documents necessary for the purposes of obtaining funds/grants pursuant to the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act  of 2009 ( ARRA).

 

9.      DISCUSSION/ACTION ITEMS

 

9.1           Workshop with the City of Placerville Planning Commission – Discussion Items Include the Following:

 

a)                 Video Presentation

b)                 Relationship between Public Health and the Built Environment

c)                 Placerville Drive and Broadway Planning Efforts

d)                 Landscape Agreements/Sign Ordinances/ Enforcement

e)                 Annual Awards to Deserving Applicants and/or Projects

f)                   Frequency of Workshops

The next Regular Council meeting will be held on April 14, 2009: 6:00 P.M. Closed Session; 7:00 P.M. Regular Session.
